On a very hot day thirteen met up for our art meeting. Sue produced a rural scene. Mary finished off her fantasy vision of an alien world I copied a sketch of a young lady sketching. The craft group worked on making Easel cards

13th July 2012

Craft group very productive soon producing little dollies for the use as bookmarks.
Art group also produced some good work in progress. Ann almost finished her flower scene and Pat with the yacht scene. Jean finished the portait yacht painting.

Twelve of us today just one image of David's picture of a bucolic village scene and a photo of the very cleverly decorated cards from the craft section.

11th May 2012

A nice relaxing but productive afternoon. Pat continued to work on the Eling scene shown last month. Sue completed a coloured pencil drawing of a teddy bear. Henry just finishing the Italian plaza look . Joan worked on daffodils. I drew a picture copied from a drawing taken from the Internet of a woman in black. Dave's snowy scene captured a forest walk of himself and a dog. Mary finished a rural Spring view. The craft group made some very decorative paper stars.

13th April

Only twelve of us today met up on a lovely spring day. The craft group worked on the previous month's ornate buttons. Pat worked on her masterpiece a picture of Eling Quay. Very good almost photographic. Sue's bunch of flowers. Mary's brilliant painting of a panda while my offering was a poor drawing but I'm vain enough to include it here.

9th March

Low turnout this month but enjoyable group meeting. The craft were productive with cards decorated by cut out doilies. Ann still working on the St Pauls London setting. Joan finished the water colour bird's nest while I drew a rather blood thirsty vampire.

10th February

Rather cold day after a sprinkling of snow during the night and the heaters were losing the battle so coats were in order for the two hours. The craft stitched fancy buttons. The Dorset button has a long history, originating in the 18th century in Dorset, England. Originally, they were made on a disc cut from the horn of a Dorset Horn sheep, which was covered with needle-worked thread. Later, button makers began using metal rings as the basis for these buttons.
As for the art group Mary painted a bright African market scene and Henry experimented with acrylics

13th January 2012

Sixteen of us altogether nine for art and seven for craft. Nice afternoon the craft group worked on greeting cards while we produced various drawing and paintings in different mediums. David painted the unusual picture of a face composed of birds while Henry worked on the Arc de Triomphe. My contribution was a copy of Angelina Jolie

9th December

Just seven of us today, there were no craft members. Some of us were productive Dave used pastels for the mountain scene. Pat worked on her snow scene in preparation for the art class. Mary was finishing the young lady with the small dog.

11th November 11

Very quiet today no craft group just nine art members who shivered as the heating did not work but despite this some of us were productive Jean finished her painting of the swimming scene and Mary worked on her bears.

14th October

Twenty members 10 art and 10 craft who made stitched patterned images for greeting cards. Various subjects for the art Pat worked on her New Forest ponies by a pool of water. Dave a very bright palatial house. Sally a soft mountain scene, Mary wrestled with the colours of the flowers.

9th September 2011

15 of us 5 craft and 10 art today. The craft group worked on little mice while talking about somebody who had a real mouse that lived in a toaster. It only left its home when toast was required. A strange story. Dave's finished coloured pencil drawing of flowers was excellent and Henry who normally produces scenes with buildings, painted a child's face.
