Nine of us for today's art group spent a peaceful afternoon painting using different materials as well as Bridget engaged in craft work. Dave did a brilliant painting of an axe and log but not having a camera I can only put my own pitiful contribution to the afternoon's proceedings. This is my attempt to copy the 1860 picture taken from the Daily Mail. It is a Sir John Everett Millais painting "The black Brunswicker" the lady (Katey)posing is the daughter of Charles Dickens. She died in 1929.
