December 2014

Only 3 on the art table and eleven altogether. Despite a hiccup over the door not being open it was quite a pleasant afternoon. The craft group produced candle decorations Dave worked on a brilliant flower painting. I did some drawings.

14th November

Sixteen today, while the craft group studiously did their knitting, Dave finished his portrait of some one out of Edgar Allan Poe's books. I drew a child and a duckling. Pat her penguins which she assured me were not those who came with Wednesday's speaker. Everybody must have enjoyed the afternoon as it was necessary to shoo them out at 4 o'clock as the helpers brought in stock for their Bazaar.

August

Renewed enthusiasm for the revival of the craft section this month hopefully will save the group from winding up. Three pictures one of Ann's painting of grapes using an unusual technique and Dave's man reclining in a chair. The third picture shows the craft group.

11 July meeting

No craft group from now on and unless we encourage others there will be no art group either. Just seven of us today making £10 after paying for milk, it isn't enough. Jean's simplified painting of Lepe beach is striking in affect. Dave finished his gun powder plot. Pat painted delicate ethereal pink roses. Joan finished the water colour flowers. Henry painted a Winchester street view.

April

Only 10 of us today perhaps due to Easter Holidays. Four of the craft group busied themselves with small beaded flowers. David worked on his masterpiece. Henry on a coastal scene. Pat worked on a flower in a vase theme. Joan was painting a chicken while Ann using coloured pencils for the first time sketched a rugged coast. My modest contribution was a copy of a young woman which bore little resemblance to the original.

March 2014 meeting

A lovely sunny Spring day that tempted 16 and one guest to come along. No finished craft, still a work in progress. The new Rev Innaiah Maddineni came in to make our acquaintance. Harry painted a beach scene while Pat worked on a rolling countryside view. Ann P also finished a small wooded scene. I sketched a young lady and a cat.

February meeting 2014

Twelve of us came despite the floods and the never ending rain. The craft group under Sheila's tuition produced the Zentangle cards. No I hadn't heard of them either. Henry painted the Italian terrace house with its flaking plaster. Dave worked on his Magnus Opus from his imagination of the scene showing the conspirators hatching the gunpowder plot. Joan painted the starling with a tit bit in its mouth from a picture published in the Echo while I copied an image I found on the net.

A small craft group today who very quickly produced the hedgehog document holder. Of the artists only Henry's warranted photographing.
