November

Quite a few members turned up for both the Art and Craft on a rainy overcast day. But inside it was warm and a friendly atmosphere led to a productive turnout. Christmas cards by the craft and several good paintings except my effort to capture an impression of an Eastern plaza. Dave tried his hand at a painting on a silk cloth. Ann finished off a painting from the art book and Jean's picture is really coming to life.

We are a new group made up of people who like to make different craft items and at the same time help African craftspeople.
We meet each Thursday afternoon between 2.00 pm and 4,00 pm at the Tools for Self Reliance building on Ringwood Road, Netley Marsh. We meet to make things, learn from each other and have a chat.
We donate some of our products to the charity and help to sell the items at various events in the area.

9th October

A chilly class today as the heating was defunct still we all enjoyed the two hours artistic meditation. Pat's portrait of a young boy, a great nephew, with his large catch is a brilliant likeness. The craft group are coming to the end of a project to furnish a dolls house.
